Growing up in Levittown, one of the most anticipated events of the year was the Fair at St. Michael’s. I have vivid memories, late June, sitting in a crowded classroom of our elementary school, watching the fair assembled piece by piece. Then, waiting in line, after Sunday Mass to buy our advance ride tickets.
The excitement of the fair, would abound as our Parish parking lot was transformed into a mini amusement park. Rides, games of chance, Fair Pizza, and goldfish that never die, are some fond memories of the St, Mike’s Fair that has been coming to town ever since 1956.
Levittowners young and old have their own “Fair story”. What’s yours?
