Our hearts are heavy with the news of Hannah’s passing on Sunday morning. Hannah taught a lot of us about bravery and how to “fight like a baby.” At such a sad time, it’s good to be reminded that the world is a better place because of Hannah. Continue reading

The Beer-A-Rama Autographed Jersey Contest Winner is…
To help us get all Flyered up this year, Levittown Comfort ran a contest on its Facebook page with Beer-A-Rama where a fan would win a signed Claude Giroux jersey. Just before the first round playoff series with the New York Rangers began we announced this contest and ended up with hundreds of entries.
Last night, just before the puck dropped for game 6, we announced Heather Dooley as our contest winner. And, this afternoon Heather picked up her prize at the Beer-A-Rama store on Levittown Parkway. Congratulations Heather! We hope the jersey brings you and our team luck tonight as the Flyers play the final game of this tough first round series. LET’S GO FLYERS!!!

Goodbye Christine’s, Hello Dot’s Dairy Bar!
We’re lucky to have so many great ice cream places in Levittown, but it’s particularly great when one is a walk or short bike ride away. That’s why, as a Blue Ridge resident, I was bummed to hear that “Christine” and her son wouldn’t be reopening this year. It was terrible timing for me, especially since I’m currently enjoying something of a sweet-tooth renaissance in my late 30s. So, I was thrilled to have spotted this while out and about in Levittown today. Thank you and welcome Dot’s Dairy Bar!

Well, it’s time to get happy and relive those hilarious images of the not distant enough past as we say good riddance to Old Man Winter.
