  1. We’re having a problem with our living room circuit. Last night, everything in that room alone went out, but it didn’t trip the breaker (20 amps). Resetting didn’t help. I changed it out and everything worked OK ’til this morning (Sat 3/15/14), then, everything went out again. Oddly, as before, breaker didn’t trip off. ?????

    • Hello Pete Bobbie,
Thank you for the opportunity to assist you. It sounds like you have a break somewhere in the living room circuit. This could be a broken wire, faulty outlet or switch. Some how that circuit is not being completed. There is not a short in the circuit or the breaker would trip.I would suggest, turning off the breaker, removing the living room outlets and switches to see if there is any visible damage. If you have an ohmmeter, you can test both sides of each device to find where the circuit is “not continuing”. As always, electrical work is not a hobby, and should only be practiced by experienced professionals. So, please do not attempt anything you are not comfortable with. If I can be of any further assistance, feel free to call me at 215-547-0603.
Thank you and i hope I have helped,
      Joe Kiss

      • Hey Joe,

Thanks for the advice. I have a multi-tester and I’ll go around and check like you said. I’ll get back to you if I have any problems.

        Thanks again,
        Pete
